Well, another Alberta deer hunting season has come and gone here at Wild Rose Whitetails with our 2006 deer season being a lot of fun and very successful.
To start the season off, on the second day of hunting season, Jim made an incredible shot at 443 yards to harvest a huge 186+ gross trophy white-tailed deer. Abe took both a good mule deer and a very good whitetail. The Ingram brothers both shot good deer and Doug on his last evening took a beautiful 154 10 point.
The Steemer crew as usual had a lot of laughs and shot some great deer. Tracker's 9 point will be added to his collection and Wes made a great shot on a true whitetail trophy scoring 179+ gross.
The last week was COLD. Yes, -30C and windy, but we still shot 4 deer out of 6 and also saw some huge trophy bucks get away.
Having a cold winter but with lots of forage for the deer, our 2007 Alberta deer season looks to be even better. Our staff at Wild Rose Whitetails are looking forward to seeing you this upcoming deer season!
